Instructions
Preparation Steps
Brown the ground beef in a large pot over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess fat.
Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Stir in the chili powder and cumin. Cook for 1 minute.
Add the diced tomatoes and kidney beans. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat and cook for 30 minutes, or until the chili has thickened.
