Preparation Steps
In a large skillet or pot, add the spaghetti, ground beef, marinara sauce, water, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Break up the ground beef with a spoon.
Stir everything together until well combined. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the spaghetti is cooked through and most of the liquid has been absorbed. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
If the sauce is too thick, add a little more water (1-2 tablespoons at a time) until desired consistency is reached. If it's too thin, remove the lid and simmer for a few more minutes to reduce.
Serve hot, topped with shredded mozzarella cheese if desired.
Notes
This recipe is easily customizable. Feel free to add your favorite vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms, or use different types of pasta.
