  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 cup Onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 28 oz Crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • 0.5 tsp Dried basil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 lb Spaghetti

Preparation Steps

  • Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess fat.
  • Add the onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat and cook for 20 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
  • Cook the spaghetti according to package directions. Drain and serve with the meat sauce.

Notes

This recipe can be easily customized to your liking. Add other vegetables, such as bell peppers or mushrooms. You can also add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a little heat.
