  • 1.5 cups cranberry juice
  • 4 whole cinnamon sticks
  • 12 whole cloves
  • 1 medium orange sliced
  • 1 inch fresh ginger sliced thinly
  • 2 whole star anise

Preparation Steps

  • Pour the apple cider and cranberry juice into the slow cooker.
  • Wrap the cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, ginger slices, and star anise in cheesecloth or a paper coffee filter. Tie it securely then place it into the cider mixture.
  • Slice the orange and add the pieces directly into the slow cooker.
  • Set the slow cooker to low and let it simmer for 4-6 hours on low or 2-3 hours on high.
  • When ready to serve, remove the spice pouch. Garnish with additional orange slices and cinnamon sticks, if desired.
