  • 1.5 cups chocolate sandwich cookies
  • 0.5 cups unsalted butter, melted
  • 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup maraschino cherries, drained
  • 1 cup chocolate shavings

Preparation Steps

  • Crush chocolate cookies into fine crumbs. Combine with melted butter and press into the bottom of a 9-inch pie plate.
  • In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Stir in vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, beat heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold into the cream cheese mixture.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cookie crust. Top with drained maraschino cherries and chocolate shavings.
  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate cookies. You can also add a layer of chocolate ganache for extra indulgence.
