Ingredients
  

Fudge Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter cut into pieces
  • 0.33 cup evaporated milk
  • oz semisweet chocolate chips 12 oz bag
  • oz miniature marshmallows 10 oz bag
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped nuts optional

Instructions
 

Fudge Preparation

  • Grease an 8x8 inch baking pan.
  • In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine sugar, butter, and evaporated milk. Bring to a rolling boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  • Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Remove from heat. Stir in chocolate chips until melted and smooth.
  • Stir in marshmallows and vanilla extract until marshmallows are melted and the mixture is well blended.
  • If using, stir in nuts.
  • Pour into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  • Let cool completely at room temperature, then cut into squares.

Notes

Store homemade candy in an airtight container at room temperature for best results.
