Instructions
Fudge Preparation
Grease an 8x8 inch baking pan.
In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine sugar, butter, and evaporated milk. Bring to a rolling boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat. Stir in chocolate chips until melted and smooth.
Stir in marshmallows and vanilla extract until marshmallows are melted and the mixture is well blended.
If using, stir in nuts.
Pour into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
Let cool completely at room temperature, then cut into squares.
Notes
Store homemade candy in an airtight container at room temperature for best results.
