Ingredients

Chicken and Marinade

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Vegetables and Grains

  • 2 cups cooked rice brown or white
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup sliced bell peppers any color
  • 1 cup chopped broccoli florets
  • 0.5 cup edamame shelled

Garnish and Sauce

  • 2 tablespoon chopped green onions
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 0.25 cup teriyaki sauce

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • In a bowl, combine ground chicken, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Mix well.
  • Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the chicken mixture and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through.
  • While the chicken is cooking, steam or lightly sauté the carrots, bell peppers, broccoli, and edamame until tender-crisp.
  • To assemble the bowls, divide the cooked rice among four bowls. Top with the cooked ground chicken and prepared vegetables.
  • Drizzle with teriyaki sauce and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Adjust red pepper flakes for desired spice level. These bowls are versatile; feel free to add or substitute vegetables.
