  • 0.5 cup Beef Broth
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 2 tbsp All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black Pepper

Preparation Steps

  • Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  • Add onions and mushrooms; cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in flour, salt, and pepper. Gradually whisk in beef broth until smooth.
  • Reduce heat to low; simmer for 10 minutes, or until sauce has thickened.
  • Stir in sour cream. Heat through, but do not boil.
  • Serve over egg noodles or rice.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use a combination of ground beef and ground veal.
