  • 2 tablespoons tahini
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons water

Preparation Steps

  • Drain and rinse chickpeas. In a food processor, combine chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, cumin, salt, and water. Blend until smooth, adding more water as needed to reach desired consistency. Taste and adjust salt or lemon as desired.

Notes

For a smoother texture, peel the chickpeas or add an extra tablespoon of water while blending.
