Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine rolled oats and cocoa powder. Whisk together.

In a separate small bowl, whisk together maple syrup and melted coconut oil.

Pour the wet ingredients over the dry ingredients and stir until everything is well coated. Stir in the chopped nuts.

Spread the mixture evenly onto the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until fragrant and slightly crisp. Be careful not to burn the chocolate.
Let the granola cool completely on the baking sheet. It will crisp up as it cools.
Once cooled, stir in chocolate chips if using. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
