Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a saucepan, combine water and frozen cherries. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
Remove from heat. Add the sugar and tea bag. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Let steep for 5-10 minutes, or until desired tea strength is reached.
Remove the tea bag. Strain the mixture to remove the cherries. Let the mixture cool completely.
Serve the cherry iced tea over ice cubes. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
Notes
This recipe can be easily adjusted for sweetness. For a stronger cherry flavor, you can muddle some fresh cherries before adding them to the water.
