Bacon Grilled Cheese

  • 4 slices Bacon
  • 4 slices Bread Sourdough or your favorite
  • 4 slices Cheese Cheddar or Gruyere, grated or sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Butter Softened

Preparation Steps

  • Cook the bacon until crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  • Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  • Place two slices of bread, butter-side down, in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Top with cheese, then bacon, then more cheese.
  • Place the remaining two slices of bread on top, butter-side up.
  • Grill for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted and gooey.
  • Slice in half and serve immediately.

Notes

For an extra kick, add a thin layer of mustard or mayonnaise to the inside of the bread before grilling.
