Ingredients

Meatballs

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 0.25 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg lightly beaten
  • 0.25 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper

Bacon Glaze

  • 0.5 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar packed
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 4 slices bacon cooked and crumbled

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, shredded cheddar cheese, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  • Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and browned.
  • While the meatballs are baking, prepare the glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together ketchup, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard.
  • Remove meatballs from the oven and drain off any excess grease. Pour the glaze over the meatballs and toss to coat.
  • Sprinkle with crumbled bacon and return to the oven for another 5 minutes, or until the glaze is bubbly.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

These meatballs are great served on their own, with toothpicks for appetizers, or over pasta or mashed potatoes.
