Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Peel and thinly slice potatoes.
In a large bowl, combine heavy cream, milk, salt, and pepper.
Layer half of the potatoes in a greased baking dish. Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes.
Repeat layers with remaining potatoes and cream mixture. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
Bake for 45 minutes, or until potatoes are tender and cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of nutmeg or garlic powder.
