Ingredients
  

Donut Dough

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.33 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 0.75 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Glaze (Optional)

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation Steps

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease your donut pan or use non-stick spray.
  • Spoon the batter into the donut cavities, filling them about two-thirds full.
  • Air fry for 8-10 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cooking time may vary depending on your air fryer.
  • Let the donuts cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
  • If making the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Dip the cooled donuts into the glaze.
